Beware Of Chills, Tears And Nightmares…An Interview With M. Shadows

I had the privilege and honor of talking to M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold. We talked about the new ‘Nightmare’ album and track, The Rev and Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy filling in on drums. This is a truly creepy peak into how the band re-grouped and delivered their 5th studio album following the tragic death of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan last year…

I concur. Mostly because I’ve been a fan for five maybe 6 years and I never got to see them live. Which sucks.

Don’t think they’ll split though, they’re too close for that. just that they’ll probably stop making music/touring.

I hope they never split… I don’t think Jimmy would like that!
As a band though its their choice… I’m glad I can say that THEY ARE THE BEST BAND EVERRRRR……..

This is going to be the most passionate, emotional album ever made. Can’t describe how much I appreciate it.

If they stop Avenged Sevenfold after this I will cry harder then I did when Jimmy died. Especially since I may not even be able to go to the uproar tour.

This album will be the greatest, i feel. If they do decide to split after this, i dont think it will be for long. After making great music for the past 20 years they wouldnt throw it away, i could see them taking a little hiatus…but they need Jimmy to keep on living in our minds through their music. But A7x will always be around. In my opinion, one of the greatest bands alive

omg this interview made me burst into tears. I cried so hard when Jimmy died, and if they spilt up ill cry even more. I didnt even get to see them live. My dream was to atleast get a glimpse of the Rev in person. Now he’s gone and i really want to go to one of their concerts because it might be their last (hope not). To bad a7x doesnt come to Kuwait or any of the gulf countries cuz that really sucks. Im thinking of traveling to londen to watch them play on november. My parents will NEVER allow but wish me luck.

I was in complete surprise when he died…I was on the phone with a friend then…i read it on news and just said…”i gotta go”. ME a grown ass man just started crying. i just couldnt help it…Ive been listening to them since their first EP Warmness on the Soul came out. I just couldnt believe it, this bands music was my soundtrack all through middle school thru college. I really couldnt believe it. I just got the album today and started listening to it and I have loved every bit of it so far and I am closing in on fiction right now…=\ R.I.P. Jimmy.
