As part of the campaign for the upcoming 20th anniversary re-release of Rage Against The Machine’s legendary eponymous 1992 debut album, the band has released a live video of a 1993 performance of the song “Take The Power Back” filmed at the Vic Theatre in Chicago.

The fiery clip is just one of the many extras that come with the lavish box set reissue (entitled Rage Against The Machine XX), which includes three live B-side tracks, the band’s original demos for their debut, A DVD of 2010 “The Battle of Britain” performance in London, all of the band’s official music videos, RATM’s first public performance in 1991 on the Cal State Northridge campus, and lots more. The set’s liner notes are written by rapper Chuck D of hip-hop legends Public Enemy.

Rage Against The Machine made headlines during the 2012 Presidential election when Republican Vice-Presidential hopeful Paul Ryan admitted that he was a fan of the notoriously liberal band. Both guitarist Tom Morello and bassist Tim Commerford publicly criticized Ryan for his fandom, with Commerford calling him “stupid” to gossip site TMZ.
