Not too long ago, it seemed like a totally bonkers idea. But then again, so did the idea of Donald Trump being a legitimate presidential nominee. So, it’s been a weird week.

Last night (May 7), AC/DC played their first show with Guns N Roses’ Axl Rose on vocals, in Lisbon, Portugal.

As was the case during Guns N Roses’ shows at Coachella, Rose was still confined to a chair on stage as he recovers from a foot injury. Although this time he wasn’t using Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters throne, but a much smaller chair.

According to Rolling Stone‘s report of the show, the performance was a “triumph,” with Rose appearing to have a great time as a hired gun (cough) instead of being the leader, as has always been the case in GNR.

While Rose has always seemed more influenced by AC/DC’s Bon Scott era (Guns N Roses has covered “Whole Lotta Rosie” and “Riff Raff” live), the set was split between the Scott songs and songs originally growled by Brian Johnson, the man who Rose is filling in for (or replacing). Below, watch a clip of Rose belting out the Johnson-era classic, “Shoot to Thrill.”
