Bjork turned a concert in Japan into a piece of history by incorporating what her people are calling the world’s first Virtual Reality (VR) and 360 live stream.

When she sang “Quicksand” during her show in Tokyo, Bjork donned a mask designed by Professor Neri Oxman and made by a 3D printer and exposed the audience to a visually stunning experience. The five-minute long presentation was an adjunct to her new exhibition Björk Digital – Music and Virtual Reality – an 18 day Experiment, which opens at the Tokyo museum Miraikan tomorrow.

The museum states that “Björk Digital” is the exhibition project of experimental VR to extend the music experience. For more on the exhibit’s background and interactive ability, visit the Miraikan museum’s website.
