Call in the next ten minutes and you get a hat with Corgan's initials on it (no, seriously, you do).

By Hayden Wright

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan runs a pro wrestling conglomerate and hates fair-weather Chicago Cubs fans. That is to say, he’s a kind of Renaissance man. In 2014, Corgan performed an 8-hour jam session inspired by Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse’s 1922 novel about a spiritual journey. If that piques your interest and a $375 price tag’s not prohibitive, you’re in luck: A five-LP box set is here.

Some background: Corgan performed the Siddhartha set at Madame Zuzu’s Tea Show in Chicago before a very patient audience of 40. Critics have described the set as “ambient” and “synth-heavy,” though another word that works is “long.” The box set will retail on a limited run of 500 copies.

To sweeten the pot, Corgan’s thrown in some extras for fans who bite the bullet and drop almost $400 on his obscure coffee shop jam session. They’ll get a mini Stylophone synthesizer and a collectible art print by Linda Strawberry. Then there are the personal touches…Corgan will sign and number all 500 copies and give purchasers a very special baseball hat with his own initials (WPC) on it.

Corgan couldn’t wait to share the news on Instagram:
